Collectible WreathsWreaths have been around since ancient times - one ancient example is the "crown" of laurel or olive leaves that the ancient Greeks awarded to their athletic champions. During the middle ages, when greenery began to be brought into the home to celebrate Christmas, wreaths of holly and other evergreens became popular. Today wreaths are used on walls, but they are most often used in windows and on doorways, where they offer a symbolic greeting to visitors and passersby alike. Collectible wreaths such as the ones on this page offer their owners the chance to bring a great deal of holiday charm to a very small area. Note: For this page, I have chosen to use illustrations and product descriptions that are provided by the manufacturer rather than writing a separate review of each wreath. The main reason for this choice has to do with the fact that these are selling so fast that I don't always have time to write a review before the wreath has gone out of stock. Clicking on the "BUY" button just brings you to a detailed description of the wreath. You don't have to decide anything until you're on the next page. If you have specific questions, please contact us. Update for 2011 - Two of my favorite wreaths sold out earlier this year. But Bradford Exchange and their affiliates have offered several charming new wreaths, mostly further down the page. Still, they don't tend to make huge quantities of these, so if you see one you like, don't wait two long. The very first wreath has been in very high demand, for example. In the meantime, whether you're reading this a week or eleven months before Christmas, please have a great family Christmas this year, and let us know what we can do to help.
