Collectible WreathsWreaths have been around since ancient times - one ancient example is the "crown" of laurel or olive leaves that the ancient Greeks awarded to their athletic champions. During the middle ages, when greenery began to be brought into the home to celebrate Christmas, wreaths of holly and other evergreens became popular. Today wreaths are used on walls, but they are most often used in windows and on doorways, where they offer a symbolic greeting to visitors and passersby alike. Collectible wreaths such as the ones on this page offer their owners the chance to bring a great deal of holiday charm to a very small area. Update, 2016 - Bradford Exchange, who distributes many of the products shown on this page has recently been forced by the attorney generals of several states (including Ohio where I live) to stop letting folks in Ohio and other states recommend products we like. If we keep it up, Bradford Exchange will have to start collecting sales tax for any customers in those states who order from them. So they have sent out an e-mail asking me (and hundreds of other people) to cease and desist recommending products we like. It will take us a while to get things on these pages reconfigured to reflect the new requirements, but in the meantime, please consider the rest of this page an archive of past recommendations, for informational purposes only. We would never dream of continuing to recommend Hawthorne Village products that we liked in 2014 and still think highly of! Note: For this page, I have chosen to use illustrations and product descriptions that are provided by the manufacturer rather than writing a separate review of each wreath. The main reason for this choice has to do with the fact that these are selling so fast that I don't always have time to write a review before the wreath has gone out of stock. Clicking on the "BUY" button just brings you to a detailed description of the wreath. You don't have to decide anything until you're on the next page. If you have specific questions, please contact us. Update for September, 2013 - Several of the wreaths we had listed at the beginning of the year have sold out. So we're listing some new ones we like. If you click on a "buy" button, and you find yourself on a generic Bradford Exchange page, you can always type "wreath" in the search box and see a nice selection. However, these tend to go fast, so if you see a wreath you want gracing your home this Christmas season, don't wait too long to order.
In the meantime, whether you're reading this a week or eleven months before Christmas, please have a great family Christmas this year, and let us know what we can do to help. Paul and Shelia Race decorations that have been popular with our readers.
